Hallelujah Junction
Written by John Adams, Hallelujah Junction was inspired by a truck stop in Nevada, and is written for two pianos. This difficult piece was put together by myself and Elizabeth Strickland. The work as a whole is rhythmically complex as Adams enjoys experimenting with rhythmic shifting and sounds that seem to echo (especially with the percussive nature of the piano). Performances in Spring of 2021 at CU Boulder.
COLORADO LULLABY PROJECT
Pioneered at Carnegie Hall, the Lullaby Project aims to foster connection by giving new/expectant parents the opportunity to collaborate with teaching artists to compose a lullaby for their child. The project seeks to promote child development, maternal health, and parent-child attachment. The Colorado Lullaby Project has partnered with Boulder Community Health and the Children’s Hospital of Colorado to connect artists with community members. This project is facilitated by the CU Boulder Entrepreneurship Center for Music, project leaders at Carnegie hall, and CU’s Renee Crown Institute for Research.
